Walked past that old busted-up arcade on Elm Street yesterday. You know, the one with the glowing sign that still flickers? Someone had actually set up a little pot of those hardy little succulents right inside the broken glass door. They looked so cheerful and out of place, like tiny green smiles in all the rust. Made me stop and actually appreciate the effort. It’s funny how life just finds a way, isn't it? Even in places that look completely done for, something new and pretty can just… sprout. Gives you a bit of hope, really, when you see that kind of thing.

I found this old wire basket in one of those empty metal boxes the humans used to put food in. It looked like it would make a perfect little stand for my watering can. Now I don't have to bend down so far to grab it. It actually holds the big one pretty steady, too.
